Location Description:
Porthcothan is a west facing triangular-shaped sandy beach set in a cleft in the rocks just north of Park Head and Bedruthan Steps. A shallow stream divides the beach almost in half down its length at low tide. At high tide only a small fraction of the beach remains so people head to the low dunes at the back of the beach.
