Stranger's Hall Museum

The Strangers\' Hall Museum is an interesting delve into the social history of this fine city. A medieval merchant\'s house, its name derives from the renting of the fine undercrofts to Flemish weavers in the sixteenth century. Much modified and with rooms preserved from every era in which the house flourished, the Strangers\' Hall Museum provides an opportunity to view one of the many houses of gentlefolk that once adorned the south bank of the Wensum.
