Warrington Museum and Art Gallery

Warrington Museum and Art Gallery on Bold Street features a wealth of material on the natural world including recently developed geology and botany galleries. Another source of interest are the local and social history galleries, which offer a fascinating glimpse into the industries that shaped the town. The centrepiece of this area is the excellent Victorian 'Time Tunnel', complete with 'hands-on history' activities for younger visitors. Perhaps the most popular exhibit in the museum is the beautifully decorated Egyptian sarcophagus and Egyptian mummy.
