#Getupandgo promoted tweet competition terms and conditions:

Overview

We’re collecting your travel experiences of Great Britain to help inspire others to get up and go enjoy the nation. Anyone posting a qualifying tweet using the #getupandgo hashtag will enter our competition to win a night stay in one of our UK hotels for up to a family of two adults and two children.

How to enter
• The competition opens on January 1st 2015 and closes on 30th April 2015
• To enter the competition, entrants must compose and create a tweet about their travel experiences in Great Britain using the #getupandgo hashtag
• To qualify for the competition, qualifying tweets must:
• Contain the #getupandgo hashtag
• Relate to British travel experiences only
• Be written in English language
• Be posted between 1st January 2015 and 30th April 2015
• Be posted on Twitter only – content on other social networks will not qualify
• Not contain offensive language or imagery at the discretion of Travelodge
• Not contain any personal political or religious opinion.
• Not reference Travelodge in a negative manner
• Not reference direct Travelodge competitors
• The winner must:
• Be a UK resident
• Aged 18+
• Follow @TravelodgeUK on Twitter (www.twitter.com/travelodgeuk)
• Entrants may enter more than once, however only one qualifying tweet per entrant will enter the prize draw
• Entrants agree to give permission to Travelodge to use their competition entry tweet for other advertising activity

The Prize
• The prize is a one night stay on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday in UK Travelodge of the competition winner’s choice, for an individual or family of up to four, with a maximum of two adults and two children.
• For each month the competition is live, there will be one winner picked at random from all qualifying tweets posted between 00:00 UK time on the 1st of each month, and 23:59 UK time on the last day of each month, in the period between 1 January and 30th April 2015.

Claiming the prize
• Successful entrants will be notified by direct message on Twitter before the 5th of the following month
• Successful entrants will be asked to provide Travelodge an email address with which to be sent confirmation of success
• No prizes are guaranteed until successfully completing all aforementioned steps, and then upon receiving a message via email confirming success, to include a unique reference number
• If the winner does not acknowledge receipt of their prize by Twitter direct message within seven days of being notified, a new winner will be selected at random from qualifying entries and the original winner’s prize will be void 
• Those ‘winning’ a night’s stay must send a pre-written message on Twitter announcing that they’ve won a Travelodge UK competition in order to qualify to receive their prize
• Non-winners will not be notified directly

Detailed terms and conditions

Employees of Travelodge and any of their respective parent and affiliate companies and their agents or contractors or anyone else connected with the promotion are excluded from entry.

Only one qualified entry per person will enter the prize draw. Multiple entries, through one or more accounts set up by you, or entries made through agents, third parties, organised groups or any entry duplication method will not increase chances of success. Multiple re-Tweets, through one or more accounts set up by you, may result in you being disqualified from the draw and/or Twitter taking action against you for breach of its Terms of Service. This action may include automatically filtering your account out of Twitter search, which would prevent us from receiving your entry.

Open to all adults over the age of 18 years who reside in the UK. Proof of eligibility must be provided on request.

There will be a total of 4 winners across the campaign period of four months from January to April 2015, (each of whom) who will win one of the single night hotel stays listed below. For each calendar month in the campaign period, there will be one prize only.

This invitation is non-transferable and is valid for a family stay of up to 2 adults and 2 children. The Prize does not include transportation, meals (unless stated otherwise), drinks, entertainment, spending money or any other costs not specifically mentioned above. Free stay must be selected between, 1 February 2015 and 1 June 2015, and is valid for a one night only stay on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday at a UK Travelodge of the competition winner’s choice.  Aforesaid free nights’ stay subject to availability, Travelodge will notify customer in the event of a hotel/date change.

It is the responsibility of the winner to inform the Promoter of any wheelchair or similar access requirements for the winner and/or their guest when taking up the Prize, and to adhere to any applicable health and safety guidelines.

For each monthly prize, the Promoter, or its designated agent, will contact the winners by Twitter direct message before the 5th day of the following month after that month’s competition has closed. The winner will be asked to provide an email address to which the Promoter can send full confirmation of success. The winner must confirm receipt of success via Twitter direct message or given email address within seven days of notification of success. The prize will be void for entrants failing to confirm receipt of their prize within this period and a new winner will be picked at random and contacted via the same channels.

The Promoter’s decision is final.

No responsibility is accepted for entries that are illegible or lost, delayed or damaged electronically, online or otherwise during the competition. Entries that are not submitted in accordance with these terms and conditions and/or that are delayed, damaged, incomplete, altered, illegible, otherwise defective or filtered from Twitter search (for whatever reason) will be disqualified.

The Prize is non-transferable and non-refundable. There are no cash alternatives.

The Promoter reserves the right (but is not obliged) to substitute any Prize for a prize of equivalent or greater value in the event of circumstances outside of the reasonable control of the Promoter that make this necessary.

The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to fulfil all elements of the promotion stated but will not be held responsible for failing to fulfil certain elements if beyond the control of the Promoter. In particular, the Promoter reserves its right to substitute any prize with a prize of equivalent value in the event of circumstances outside of its control. The winner also accepts that the prize could be rescheduled, cancelled or suspended for any reason whatsoever beyond the control of the Promoter.

The Promoter reserves the right to alter, amend, foreclose or withdraw the competition and/or the terms and conditions of entry at any time and without prior notice or compensation where circumstances outside of its reasonable control make it necessary to do so.

The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant[s] it believes not to be participating within the spirit of the promotion or suspects of participating in any unfair or unjust behaviour. The Promoter reserves the right to use its discretion in all respects.

The Promoter reserves the right to feature the name, photograph, location and entry tweet of the prize winner in any future marketing materials, website publications, promotions and/or prize draws. The winner and guest may be required to take part in other publicity in relation to this competition. By taking part in the competition you agree to @TravelodgeUK posting a public tweet stating the competition winner’s name & Twitter handle.

The promoter will make available on request the name and county of all major prize winners.

The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost or delayed or rendered invalid due to incorrect participant data, lack of network coverage, system, software or hardware failure or for any other reason beyond its control.

If at any time you wish to withdraw from the competition or subsequent marketing communications, your request should be made in writing to the Promoter.

If there is a conflict in the terms and conditions to this competition with any other terms whatsoever attached to any other advertising material in respect of this competition, these terms and conditions will apply.

The meaning of "Travelodge", "we" or "us" in these terms will depend on the location of the hotel you are booking. For Bookings of hotels in the UK (other than Northern Ireland) it shall mean Travelodge Hotels Ltd, Sleepy Hollow, Aylesbury Road, Thame, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom, OX9 3AT (Company No.769170, VAT No. 805367726).
