Today, MP for Surrey East, Peter Ainsworth officially opened Caterham Travelodge - the first branded budget hotel within the town. The 60-room hotel, located at Godstone Road, Whyteleafe, Surrey, CR3 0BF, has created 20 new jobs within the community and will offer rooms from £15*.

To celebrate the opening of Caterham Travelodge, pupils from St. Francis Primary School were set a project of designing their "Dream Bedroom". MP, Peter Ainsworth selected the winning picture, which was drawn by Emily Nash aged 10 years.

As part of her prize, Emily won a once in a lifetime opportunity - to join MP Peter Ainsworth to officially open Caterham Travelodge. Emily also won a weekend stay at a UK Travelodge hotel of her choice for her family. The winning picture will be hung in the hotel reception area for customers to view. All participating children were awarded a goodie bag.

Bianca Milgate, Caterham Travelodges Manager, said; "We have seen a tremendous growth in the demand for budget accommodation within East Surrey. Caterham Travelodge is centrally located for visiting business and leisure travellers. Local residents can also benefit by accommodating family and friends at the hotel to avoid the additional stress at home, ideal for the festive season ahead. We offer a comfortable room from as little as £15*, which is the smart choice for any type of stopover."
