Travelodge, the UK's leading budget hotel chain, today announced the expansion of its property division to support its unprecedented growth plans. The company will treble the size of its estate by 2020 - targeting a 10% share of the UK hotel market.

In total, nine new managerial positions have been created to reflect the increased demands now placed on its property department. Travelodge is looking to recruit highly skilled and experienced managers and positions include:

1 x Acquisitions Manager
2 x InHouse Development Manager
2 x Project Managers
2 x Contract Project Managers
2 x New Openings Mangers

The unparalleled new openings programme will mean an investment of approximately £3.5 billion in new hotels and the major area of focus is Greater London.

Paul Harvey, Travelodge's Director of Property and Development said; "This level of growth is unprecedented in the UK and reflects our intention to lead the industry with our unique, low cost retail model. These new positions will play a vital role in ensuring we deliver our aggressive expansion plans. With a hotel opening, on average every eight working days, it's imperative that we draw on even more expertise."

The roles will be introduced over the coming months and more information is available at www.travelodge.co.uk/careers.

The Acquisitions Manager will be responsible for supporting the hotel chain's growth plans by managing the acquisition of existing trading hotels for converting into Travelodge hotels.

The newly appointed In-House Development Managers will work alongside the Development team to ensure the best hotel sites are located throughout the UK. Furthermore, six specialist agents will be retained in Greater London to ensure the target of 22,000 further rooms in the Capital is achieved.

Whilst the bulk of the team is looking at the acquisition of new sites, the two Project Managers will support the creation of new hotels; ensuring they are all built on time and to brand specification. In addition two Contract Project Managers will also be appointed to manage projects prior to going on site.

Two new Hotel Openings Mangers will also be recruited who will focus on supporting the operational side of each new hotel across the Estate.
