Travelodge today rolled out the red carpet for the Queen of England's look alike and the Mayor of Windsor and Maidenhead, Councillor Leo Walters as they officially opened its new hotel in the heart of Windsor.

The 113-room hotel represents a £4.5 million investment in the town, creating 25 new jobs. Situated at 36 King Edward Court Windsor Berkshire, SL4 1TG, the new Travelodge will offer rooms from £15* per night.

Jason Cotta, Travelodge's Operations Director, said: "We are a budget hotel brand that offer a 'no frills' approach to a quality night's sleep. Our new hotel in Windsor will help to fill a real demand for low-cost accommodation in the area. We sell rooms from as little as £15 per night and our central location is perfect whether meeting on business or on a night out with friends."

The Worshipful the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Councillor Leo Walters said "I am delighted to open Windsor Central Travelodge today and wish this budget accommodation hotel every success for the future".

Windsor Central Travelodge will offer a choice of either family, double or disabled rooms. Each room provides a comfortable setting with en-suite bathroom, luxury king size bed, colour TV and free tea and coffee-making facilities.
