Travelodge Exchange on five New Sites Worth £18.4 million

Travelodge, the UK's fastest growing hotel company today announced the unconditional exchange of contracts on five new hotel development sites creating 85 new jobs at an investment of £18.4million.

The first, a 60-room hotel which will sit opposite Chester's historic Roman Amphitheatre (The Exchange, St John's Street, Chester) represents a £3 million investment.

The second is a 90-room hotel situated in the quaint Devonshire seaside resort of Torquay. The 90-room hotel will be located on Newton Road and represents an investment of £3.6 million.

The third, located next to Wolverhampton Football Club is a £5 million investment and will mean converting Bankfield House, a former 1960's office block on Waterloo Road (WV1 4QL) to a 99-room Travelodge.

Fourth is a new hotel development site in Aberdeen, which will create 30 new jobs. The 120-room hotel, located on Justice Mill Lane, will represent an £4.8 million investment.

Finally the fourth site is in Lowestoft - a 47-room hotel located on Yarmouth Road which will represents an £2.3 million investment.
