Following a 'lost and found' inventory check of its 290 hotels, Travelodge has today announced the most mysterious objects left behind in their rooms during 2005.
From over six million guests, staying in 16,700 rooms with Travelodge each year, the top five bizarre items left behind were:
- Prosthetic Legs
- Ferrari Keys
- A Last Will & Testament
- Bridget Jones style Knickers
- 30 Power Ranger Dolls
Guy Parsons, Travelodge's Chief Operating Officer commented, "We are more baffled than ever by this year's assortment of items left in our rooms. The haul demonstrates the wide range of people that stay with us during the course of the year. Our most unusual finds for 2005 have to be a set of three prosthetic legs belonging to one guest and the keys to a £250,000 Ferrari. Needless to say, all items were returned safe and sound to their owners."

Travelodge's top three tips to avoid leaving items behind in a hotel are:
- Keep all of your items within eye-sight, so that it is easy to remember to pack them
- Before leaving the hotel room, check all cupboards, drawers and especially the bathroom, that you have packed all of your belongings
- Although you may have checked once, do a double and a triple check - Do a mental check that you are taking everything you arrived with

- Laptops, mobile phones / chargers and electrical gadgets were mostly found in the London and Home Counties area
- Jewellery, cash and wallets were mostly found in the North West and South West
- Hen / Stag night accessories were popular in Glasgow, Manchester, Brighton and Bournemouth
- Clothes were popular in the North
