UK TRAVELLERS SHARE THEIR VIEWS
Scotland's capital Edinburgh, World Heritage City Bath and 2008's European City of Culture Liverpool have been voted the top three UK cities Brits want to visit most before "kicking the bucket". These findings have been revealed in a new 'UK Cities' report issued today by Travelodge.
The hotel chain surveyed 5,500 Britons to investigate their views on British cities and uncover the nation's top ten UK city 'Bucket List'*.
Findings revealed Britons are traditionalists at heart - with all of the top ten cities to make the bucket list being renowned for their wealth of history, culture and architecture.
The nation's 'Bucket List' comprises of the UK's capital cities; London, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast. Also to make the list was England's world famous University cities Cambridge and the 'City of Dreaming Spires' - Oxford. As well as, Scotland's largest city dating back to the Stone Age, Glasgow and York which is renowned for its Roman, Viking, and Medieval heritage.

Mark Kemp, Travelodge Reservations Director said: "The UK is a great holiday destination and with 66 great cities to explore on our door step it can take a lifetime to see them all. There is no time like the present to get out there and soak up the strong cultural diversity of these unique cities."
Further findings from the report revealed when it comes to charm, northern cities 'win hands down' Brits voted Newcastle to be the 'friendliest' city in the United Kingdom, followed by Liverpool and neighbouring city Manchester coming in third place.
The UK's capital - London was voted the least friendly city followed by Birmingham and Glasgow.
Respondents were also asked in which UK city will you hear a 'sexy' accent and topping the polls once again was Edinburgh, followed by Newcastle in second place and Belfast wining third place. (Peterborough, Gloucester and Coventry was voted for having the least 'sexiest' accent).
