Travelodge has today appointed twentysix London as its new digital creative agency. The agency will start work immediately on overhauling the design and site architecture of travelodge.co.uk to help improve conversion and developing new functionality, content and services to attract brand new customers.

Daniel Heale, Travelodge Marketing and Sales Director said: "We are very excited that twentysix London are now on board. We are looking forward to working with them to grow our industry leading website even further. Currently 85% of room bookings are conducted online, we would like to increase this to at least 95% and offer customers a one-stop online service where they can order everything they need for their Travelodge stay.

"Throughout the pitching process twentysix London demonstrated strategic understanding and genuine passion for our business and delivered some truly innovative ideas for helping us to attract new customers."

Ian Anderson, twentysix London Business Development & Corporate Director comments: "Eighty-five per cent of Travelodge bookings are made via its high-volume transactional website which lies at the core of its business model. We are delighted that, having looked at our credentials and the work we deliver for our clients, Travelodge has entrusted this major undertaking to us and charged us as the guardians of their enormously important customer gateway. It's a role we will undertake with care and one which will allow us to develop their site both functionally and aesthetically to realise their online ambitions."

Travelodge drive over five million reservations through their website each year and attract over half a million users every week. It has over one million registered members and has launched an online travel insurance service. In the lead up to Christmas, the hotel chain will be opening ten new hotels across the UK.
