Travelodge, the UK's leading budget hotel brand today announced the opening of its new 64-room hotel in Newport, Isle of Wight. The low-cost hotel has created 15 new jobs and represents a £2.5 million investment for the community.

Newport, Isle of Wight Travelodge is ideally located for the business and leisure traveller at Lugely Street, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 5HE and will offer rooms from £15 per night.

The creation of 15 new jobs on The Isle of Wight is part of Travelodge's unprecedented growth drive in South East England. The hotel company is pledging to around 4,500 rooms (approx 45 hotels) in the region by the year 2020.

In total, the unparalleled openings programme will create roughly 1,500 jobs and mean an investment of over £180 million in new hotels. The major area of focus is in coastal locations, such as Eastbourne, Brighton and The Isle of Wight which are expected to see a boost of around 500 rooms alone. In the South East, Travelodge will double the number of rooms before the end of the next decade.
