TRAVELODGE SWAP FORMAL INTERVIEW FOR THREE MINUTE FLIRTATIOUS ENCOUNTER
Travelodge, the UK's fastest growing hotel company has today taken the concept of speed dating one step further by introducing speed recruiting* - in a bid to recruit 30 new London based managers. Swapped, are the traditional time consuming interview conversations in favour of a new, modern, three minute, speed dating style encounter between employer and candidate.
The young, outgoing and spontaneous hotel chain WLTM** 100 new managers to support its 2008 development programme which includes a new hotel opening every eight working days. Travelodge's first-ever speed dating interviews will take place on Thursday 28 February from 11am until 3pm at London City Road Travelodge. Places are limited and candidates must book their interviews in advance by calling the Travelodge recruitment hotline on 01844 358801.
Ruth Saunders, Travelodge Resourcing Manager said; "We all know that first impressions count. Statistics differ but most experts agree that we all decide whether we do or don't like someone within the first minute and a half of meeting them. We will recruit over 1000 new managers by 2020 and it is imperative that we continue to find new and innovative ways to recruit in order to find the right people and satisfy this unprecedented demand."
Travelodge is searching for individuals who have had a past relationship with the retail or leisure industry and typical desired traits are clear communication, excellent customer service, strong leadership, a proven track record of delivering, time management, taking the lead and a GSOH***.
Successful applicants will be invited back for a second interview and if appointed, will undergo a comprehensive 12-week training programme before they are handed the keys to their own hotel. This will encompass every area of the business from the intricacies of operating a budget hotel to understanding how to be a strong leader as well as an excellent manager.
