Real ale fans will be in for a treat whilst staying at a Travelodge hotel this year as the budget hotel chain has committed to stocking this year's CAMRA award winning 'Champion Bottled Beer of Britain'.

In return for once again sponsoring the CAMRA award at this years Great British Beer Festival, which is being held August 3rd to the 7th at Earls Court, Travelodge will be able to stock the Champion Beer in its Bar Cafes across the UK.

Last year's winner, Titanic Stout, proved so popular that Travelodge literally sold all bottles within weeks showing the appeal of good quality real ale.

Paul Harvey, Managing Director at Travelodge and Real Ale aficionado, said: "Titanic Stout went down very well with our customers last year, so it was an easy decision to agree to sponsor the Champion Bottled Beer of Britain award again this year.

"The popularity of Ale is growing amongst drinkers so I am delighted that we will be able to offer our customers the best bottled beer in Britain."

Louise Ashworth, CAMRA Head of Marketing, said: "We are delighted that Travelodge have once again pledged to stock the Champion Bottled Beer of Britain in their outlets, particularly when there is a growing consumer demand for quality real ale throughout the country. We hope this year's winner will prove just as popular in Travelodge Hotels as Titanic Stout, and look forward to announcing the champion at the start of the 'British Beer Festival'."

Travelodge Bar Cafes offer customers an 'Eat as much as you like' Breakfast buffet, evening meals and a bar service. Breakfast is £7.50 per person and children under the age of 16 eat for free.
