History and regeneration collide in Bow
An area of London's East End steeped in history, Bow is arguably best known for its famous links to the Suffragette movement and the production of fine porcelain in the past. In more recent times however, regeneration has been a key focus in the area, with much of the district getting a facelift as a knock-on effect of the Nearby Queen Elizabeth Park playing host to the Olympics in 2012.
Top-class sport and shopping
There is plenty to enjoy in and around the Bow area, with Victoria Park boasting 86 hectares of beautiful green space, which is ideal for a leisurely stroll. Sports fans can also head to the London Stadium to see West Ham United in action against Premier League rivals, while shopaholics will be in their element exploring everything that the Nearby Westfield Stratford City centre has to offer.
Head off the beaten track
While Bow is of course just a short distance from all of the major attractions that London is famed for, a visit to the area is an ideal chance to explore some lesser known gems. The Museum of London Docklands offers a fascinating insight into the history of the Thames, while the National Maritime Museum is fantastic for anyone seeking to learn more about Britain's naval heritage. Planning a trip to Bow? Travelodge London Stratford Hotel and Travelodge London Bethnal Green offer great-value accomodation close to the area.
